Gullane Entertainment (früher bekannt als The Britt Allcroft Company) war eine britische unabhängige Produktionsfirma, die Kinderprogramme produzierte, darunter Thomas & seine Freunde, Shining Time Station und Mamfies Abenteuer sowie den Film Thomas; die fantastische Lokomotive. Das Unternehmen gehörte Britt Allcroft selbst.
Geschichte[]
Der Name "Gullane Entertainment" (abgeleitet von ihrem US-Vertriebsarm Gullane Pictures, der auch mehrere Spielfilme produzierte) wurde am 7. September 2000 angenommen, nachdem Britt Allcroft als alleiniger Produzent bei The Britt Allcroft Company zurückgetreten war.
Das Unternehmen produzierte die dritte bis fünfte Staffel (unter dem ursprünglichen Namen The Britt Allcroft Company), den Spielfilm Thomas; die fantastische Lokomotive (unter ihrem Gullane Pictures-Arm), Staffel 6, Staffel 7 und die Thomas und seine treuen Freunde-Spin-off-Serie.
Im Laufe der Jahre kaufte Gullane viele Franchises, um Thomas & seine Freunde und Mamfies Abenteuer zu begleiten, darunter Sooty, Art Attack, Feuerwehrmann Sam, James the Cat, Captain Pugwash und Eckhart.
Charles Falzon war Präsident von Gullane Entertainment und wurde von Britt Allcroft und Angus Wright mitgegründet.
Das Original-Endbrett des offiziellen Namens ist auf Videos der sechsten Staffel in Australien sowie auf der US-DVD Salty's Secret und der britischen DVD The Fogman zu finden.
Gullane Entertainment wurde 2002 von HiT Entertainment übernommen und Gullane wurde 2003 aufgelöst. Im Jahr 2012 wurde HiT selbst von Mattel gekauft.
Gullane Entertainment gibt es seltsamerweise immer noch, aber als In-Credit-Only-Einheit. Es heißt „Gullane (Thomas) Limited“.
